CG&P Partner Christopher Rogers obtained a defense verdict after a jury trial in Rockland County Supreme Court in a Labor Law action involving an alleged fall from a scaffold. The plaintiff subsequently appealed the trial court’s denial of his motion to set aside the verdict as contrary to the weight of the evidence and asked for a new trial. The Second Department agreed with CG&P’s contention that the verdict in defendant’s favor was based on a fair interpretation of the evidence and affirmed the defense verdict preserving CG&P’s victory at trial. The appeal was also handled by CG&P Partner Christopher Rogers.
