Ralph Catalano is a 1986 graduate of Fordham University. He received his Degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989. He is a seasoned litigator, with extensive trial and appellate experience in many areas of the law, including medical malpractice; hospital and nursing home liability; legal malpractice; corporate liability; church and charitable institution liability; products liability; drug and medical device liability; and mass tort liability.
He is past Dean of the Nassau Academy of Law, the teaching arm of the Nassau County Bar Association, and past Chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association Committee on Professional Ethics. He has developed and chaired programs for avoiding and defending legal malpractice claims for The New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association; and has lectured and written extensively on a range of topics concerning professional malpractice, legal ethics, personal injury and institutional liability for many publications and organizations. He is a frequent lecturer of trial and appellate advocacy at the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Catalano is a former member of the board of directors of SPOHNC (Support for People with Head and Neck Cancers), a national support group for people suffering from the debilitating effects of head and neck cancers.
