Ralph A. Catalano

Ralph Catalano is a 1986 graduate of Fordham University. He received his Degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989. He is a seasoned litigator, with extensive trial and appellate experience in many areas of the law, including medical malpractice; hospital and nursing home liability; legal malpractice; corporate liability; church and charitable institution liability; products liability; drug and medical device liability; and mass tort liability.

He is past Dean of the Nassau Academy of Law, the teaching arm of the Nassau County Bar Association, and past Chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association Committee on Professional Ethics. He has developed and chaired programs for avoiding and defending legal malpractice claims for The New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association; and has lectured and written extensively on a range of topics concerning professional malpractice, legal ethics, personal injury and institutional liability for many publications and organizations. He is a frequent lecturer of trial and appellate advocacy at the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Catalano is a former member of the board of directors of SPOHNC (Support for People with Head and Neck Cancers), a national support group for people suffering from the debilitating effects of head and neck cancers.


Domingo R. Gallardo

Dom Gallardo is a 1986 graduate of Fordham University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989, with Award in Commercial Papers. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, and is a former Assistant District Attorney for Bronx County’s Narcotics Unit. Since leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 1993, Mr. Gallardo has concentrated his practice in the area of insurance liability defense. He has tried and prevailed on appeals in areas including professional liability, nursing home liability, products liability, premises and labor law liability, and employment practices litigation.

Mr. Gallardo is a former charter member of the Board of Directors of Virtual Radiologic Corp., a national teleradiology services provider. He regularly guides clients in their practices through loss prevention seminars with regard to general, corporate and professional liability issues.

Mr. Gallardo is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.


Gary Petropoulos

Gary Petropoulos is a 1983 graduate of Trinity College and received his Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1988. He received an LLM Degree from the University of London in 1990. For the past twenty years he has concentrated his practice in the areas of insurance law and professional liability defense.

He has extensive experience handling complex insurance matters as defense, coverage and supervisory counsel on a national basis, concentrating on multiple lines of insurance coverage on both primary and excess levels. Additionally, he counsels both corporate clientsand professional groups with respect to insurance disputes at arbitration and mediation, and has lectured extensively for professional organizations including the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and Nassau Suffolk Claims Council. He provides risk management advice and seminars for third party administrators, insurance agents and brokers, attorneys and claims professionals.

Mr. Petropoulos is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and the Nassau Suffolk Claims Council.


Michele R. Levin

Michele Levin graduated Cum Laude from Binghamton University in 1993 and Hofstra University School of Law where she was a member of the Labor Law Journal and graduated with Dean’s List distinction in 1996. She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Ms. Levin is a skilled litigator whose practice is concentrated in the defense of complex litigation matters and professional liability claims. She serves as defense counsel for physicians, podiatrists, optometrists, and other medical providers; health care facilities, nursing homes, and home health care agencies. She also serves as lead counsel for national medical providers in multi-district litigation matters. Known for her attention to detail and her commitment to her clients, Ms. Levin’s record of success in her twenty years of practice is unparalleled. She has excelled in obtaining both pre-trial dismissals, favorable jury verdicts, and appellate division decisions. Martindale Hubbell has rated her AV Preeminent, which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, and Hofstra University School of Law awarded her the Outstanding Women in Law Award in 2017. Matthew K. Flanagan

Matthew Flanagan is a 1989 graduate of Fordham University and received a Juris Doctorate degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1992. He is a skilled litigator with extensive trial and appellate experience in the area of legal malpractice defense, professional liability and general litigation. He has successfully argued numerous appeals in the Appellate Divisions for the First, Second and Third Departments, and New York’s highest court: the Court of Appeals. He is a frequent lecturer regarding legal malpractice prevention and defense, and ethics and professional liability.

Mr. Flanagan has been named annually to the New York Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in the New York Metropolitan area since 2012, and has been awarded a rating of AV PreeminentTM by Martindale-Hubbell. The Rating is the Highest Possible Rating in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards, and was awarded following a Peer Review Rating Process, which included surveys of judges and other attorneys. He has also been named annually as one of the top professional liability and legal malpractice defense attorneys on Long Island by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, and has been given an AVVO rating of “Superb” (10.0 out of 10.0).

Mr. Flanagan is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. June D. Reiter

June D. Reiter is a 1999 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and received a Juris Doctorate degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2003. She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

She has extensive experience in the areas of construction law, construction defect, property damage, individual and institutional professional liability defense, including medical, healthcare and dental malpractice, employment law, premises liability, and complex personal injury litigation on the trial and appellate levels. She is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Katherine A. Giovacco

Katherine A. Giovacco graduated, magna cum laude, from Stony Brook University in 2002, and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 2005. She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Katherine is a skilled litigator who began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted cases ranging from narcotics possession to attempted murder. Since leaving the District Attorney’s office, Katherine has gained extensive experience in individual and institutional professional liability defense, including the defense of medical and legal malpractice actions and nursing home liability matters. She also has significant experience handling construction law and premises liability matters, at both the trial and appellate court levels. Katherine is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Christopher T. Rogers

Christopher T. Rogers is a graduate of Syracuse University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2007 and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2008. He was also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2009.

Christopher has devoted his entire career to defense litigation. He has experience in a variety of practice areas including medical malpractice, nursing home liability, products liability, church and charitable institution liability, legal malpractice, construction law, premises liability, and complex personal injury litigation at the trial and appellate level. Christopher is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association Committee on Professional Ethics, the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Richard M. Fedrow

Richard M. Fedrow is a graduate of Ithaca College and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 1975 and before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1976.

Prior to joining CG&P, Richard was a partner at a leading litigation firm in New York City for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in a variety of practice areas including medical malpractice, nursing home liability, products liability, and various toxic exposure claims including lead paint, mold, and latex. Throughout his career, Richard has tried numerous cases involving medical malpractice, nursing homes, and general negligence including labor law, toxic torts, and premises liability cases. Richard is a member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


William L. Schleifer

William L. Schleifer is a graduate of New York University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree, cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and Connecticut and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 2010, and was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 2012.

While in law school, William was an intern for the Honorable Harold Baer Jr., in the Southern District of New York and worked as a law clerk in New York Life Insurance’s Office of General Counsel. Prior to joining CG&P, William represented New York business owners in complex commercial litigation cases in both state and federal court. He has been named to the 2017 and 2018 Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Stars Lists in the area of Personal Injury Defense. William is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and has judged the brief writing portion of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Moot Court competition.


Frank S. Rosenfield

Frank S. Rosenfield graduated, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Binghamton and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2015.

While in law school, Frank interned for the Honorable Norman Janowitz of the Supreme Court, Nassau County. He was also a member of the Cardozo Law Policy and Ethics Journal. Prior to Joining CG&P, Frank worked as a law clerk at firms specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment law, and gained experience mediating divorces for programs run by the Office of Court Administration. Frank is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.


Renton D. Persaud

Renton D. Persaud graduated, summa cum laude, from St. John’s University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law as a Dean’s List Graduate. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2011 and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2012.

While in law school, Renton was a William J. Fitzpatrick Scholar and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Prior to joining CG&P, Renton gained experience working in private practice in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, general litigation, civil rights litigation, criminal law, appellate practice, trusts and estates, and real estate. Renton is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Dominican Bar Association.


Ian L. Glick

Ian L. Glick is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of New Jersey in 2013 and the Courts of the State of New York in 2014.

While in law school, Ian interned for the Honorable Martin Shulman of the Supreme Court, New York County, and the Appellate Term, First Department. He was a Student Editor-in-Chief for the New York Environmental Lawyer and was a Staff Member on the Journal of International & Comparative Law and the N.Y. International Law Review. Prior to joining CG&P, Ian gained experience working in private practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, general litigation, real estate, corporate law, and landlord tenant. Ian is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.


Jeffrey E. Bondoc

Jeffrey E. Bondoc is a graduate of Vassar College and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Pace University School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of New York and New Jersey in 2014.

Prior to joining CG&P, Jeffrey served as a law clerk to the Honorable Melvin Gelade, of the Superior Court of the State of New Jersey, Middlesex County, Special Civil Division. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Randall Corman, also of the Superior Court, Middlesex County, and then worked for a leading New Jersey creditors’ rights firm, where he gained experience in the areas of real estate, landlord tenant, mediation, and small claims. Jeffrey is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.


Jenna L. Fierstein

Jenna L. Fierstein graduated, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Binghamton and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law. She was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2016.

While in law school, Jenna worked as a student caseworker in Washington & Lee’s Black Lung Clinic, where she represented claimants in complex administrative litigation under the federal Black Lung Benefits Act. Prior to joining CG&P, Jenna gained experience in private practice brokering and underwriting environmental insurance policies. Jenna is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association, for which she serves on the Environmental Law Committee and Science & Law Committee.


Christopher S. Germaine

Christopher S. Germaine graduated, magna cum laude, from St. John’s University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2017.

As a Pro Bono Scholar in law school, Christopher provided assistance to impoverished litigants and was a recipient of the Consumer Justice for the Elderly: Litigation Clinic Award and the Pro Bono Service Award. Prior to joining CG&P, Christopher gained experience working through the Access to Justice: Volunteer Lawyer for the Day Program and Consumer Justice for the Elderly: Litigation Clinic, representing clients in consumer debt cases, eminent domain proceedings, foreclosure actions, and FDCPA violations. Christopher is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Lauren E. Russo

Lauren E. Russo graduated, cum laude, from New York University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law. She was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2017.

While in law school, Lauren served as managing editor for both the St. John’s Journal of International and Comparative Law as well as the New York International Law Review. Additionally, she was president of the Women’s Law Society and served on the Student Bar Association. She received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Advanced Torts. Prior to joining CG&P, Lauren worked as an associate at a firm specializing in matrimonial law. Lauren is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Timothy M. Gallagher

Timothy M. Gallagher graduated, summa cum laude, from Fordham University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2018.

While in law school, Timothy served as Executive Director of the Moot Court Honor Society. He has since been appointed as an Adjust Professor of Law to serve as an Alumni Moot Court Coach. Prior to joining CG&P, Timothy worked at firms specializing in personal injury litigation and appellate litigation before the First and Second Departments. Timothy is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Aran J. O’Gara

Aran J. O’Gara graduated, magna cum laude, from The University at Albany and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from SUNY Buffalo Law School. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York in 2017.

While in law school, Aran interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York and the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. He was a member of the Buffalo Moot Court Board and competed in the Judge Paul Joseph Kelly, Jr. Invitational Trial Competition. Prior to joining CG&P, Aran gained experience working in private practice in the areas of liability defense, personal injury, criminal law, and subrogation. Aran is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.


Eric A. Curtis

Eric A. Curtis graduated, cum laude, from Binghamton University and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from University at Buffalo School of Law. He was admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in 2017, and was admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of New York in 2018.

While in law school, Eric gained experience in private practice in the areas of plaintiffs’ personal injury and workers’ compensation. During his final semester of law school, Eric served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Frank P. Geraci, Jr., Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, where he assisted drafting judicial Decisions and Orders. Eric is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
